Группа депутатов Госдумы во главе с Игорем Лебедевым выступила с инициативой установить правило, в соответствии с которым обязательное страхование владельцами транспортных средств будет осуществляться путем заключения со страховщиками одного из двух видов договоров, в которых укажут индивидуальные характеристики транспортного средства или только их тип (категорию), а также назначение1. При этом планируется уточнить, что договор ОСАГО, в котором укажут только тип (категории) транспортного средства, будет действовать в отношении любого транспортного средства, находящегося во владении страхователя. Однако указанное положение станет действовать только при соответствии транспортного средства указанному в договоре.

Цель нововведений – предоставление возможности водителю при наличии указанного полиса ОСАГО управлять любым находящимся в его владении транспортным средством, категория которого совпадает с категорией, указанной в полисе. Также ожидается, что на величину страховой премии, уплачиваемой страхователем, будет влиять только его возраст, стаж и аварийность. А при продаже одного автомобиля и приобретении другого той же категории страхователь сможет не менять страховой полис и требовать от страховщика оставшуюся сумму страховой премии по предыдущему договору.
В случае принятия закон вступит в силу 1 июня следующего года.
